Baked Orange Chicken
(Seduction Chicken)

4 servings

In my single days I made this recipe for my dates. I nicknamed it Seduction Chicken. If you double the amount of chicken in this dish, you will have enough left over for Curried Chicken.

  • 1 pound skinless boneless chicken breast
  • 2 Tablespoons margarine or butter
  • 1/2 orange, sliced crosswise
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  •    salt
  •    dash of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup orange juice

Preheat the oven to 325°.

Brown the chicken in the margarine in a skillet.

Arrange the chicken and orange slices in a small shallow baking dish. Blend the flour, salt and cinnamon into the skillet juices, stirring well for a few minutes over low heat.

Gradually stir in the orange juice and cook over medium heat, stirring, until the juice boils and thickens. Pour over the chicken and bake for about 25 minutes, or until chicken is tender.
