Glazed Game Hens

2 servings

  • 2 Rock Cornish game hens,
       (about 1 1/2 LB each)
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons grated orange peel
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 Tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper

Remove and throw away giblets. Rinse birds and pat dry. Place birds in a glass baking dish. Mix orange peel, juice, cornstarch, hoisin and crushed red peppers; pour evenly over birds.

Bake in 450° preheated oven, basting every 10-15 minutes, until meat is no longer pink at thighbone (cut to test), 60-70 minutes.

Place birds on warm plates, spoon sauce over birds.
