Detroit Motown Burgers

4 servings   

  • 1 pound ground round
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/2 medium sliced onion
  • 1 Tablespoon canola oil
  • 4 Whole Wheat burger buns
  •    ketchup

Mix ground round with onion powder, garlic powder and water and form into 4 burgers.

Cook mushrooms & onion in the oil until tender. Set aside.

Grill (or broil) burgers until ready (about 4-5 minutes per side). Serve burgers on buns topped with ketchup and the mushroom/onion mixture
